Ink&Share Scrapbook Blog Hop October

Hi Crafters!

I'm back taking part in a scrapbook hop again. It's been a crazy summer with way too much stuff keeping me from my craft table, so it's great to take part in the hop with other like-minded crafters from all over the world.

So welcome aboard. Whether you've just hopped in from Angelique or starting with me, I hope we, as a group, can inspire you to create memories of your own. Don't forget to hop on to Jacqui and everyone else for more ideas!

This months theme is Fall/Autumn. It's a beautiful time of year, and I love to see the colours changing on the trees, but for some reason this is one season I rarely scrap, so here goes ...

I wanted to make a page of the Craft Retreat I will have recently been to when this blog goes live. A fab two days of crafting, charting ... and eating!

To create the page, I used a sheet of 12x12 Magnolia Lane dsp and one of the smaller cards from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More pack which I'll journal onto when I get back from the event. I bought some fake leaves which I toned down using Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie inks. Photos will be matted on Cherry Cobbler. I used Layering Alphabet dies for the title.

Just got back a few hours before blog goes live. It's been an amazing few days. We had a group photo taken outside in the beautiful gardens of Albrighton Hotel & Spa in Shrewsbury, England which will be the main photo and a lovely photo of me with my SU Upline Anne as the smaller photo.

Please now hop onto the next person for more lovely layouts

The Joy of Sets October blog hop

Hello crafters!

Welcome to my blog this month. If you've hopped in from Rochelle, then you're no doubt already brimming with ideas. Once you've visited here, I hope you take the time to hop over to Annette for more fun projects.

Our challenge this month is to choose a stamp set and use it on three different projects. The set I have chosen comes from Stampin Up! and it's called Butterfly Gala. There's a coordinating punch too.

Project 1: a birthday card for my best friend
I wanted to make a larger card than I usually make, this one is A5 size, so ideal for multiple signatures. I also used the Beauty Abounds stamp set using the floral flourish and some text. It's coloured in pink and blue, my friends favourite colours (she loves butterflies too).
And of course, the final touch .... plenty of bling and loads of Wink of Stella!

Project 2: a little gift box ideal for jewellery inspired by some packaging a pretty bookmark had come in!
These lovely little boxes feature my butterfly, layered up this time. The finished box measures 5 7/8" x 3"

For this you need
 8 3/4" x 8 1/4" (22.2cm x 21cm)
Score long side 3/4", 1 1/2" (1.9cm, 3.8cm) at both ends
Score short side 3/4", 3 3/4" (1.9cm, 9.5cm) at both ends
6 1/4" x 4 3/8" (15.8cm x 11cm). Score at 3/4" (1.9cm) on three sides.
8 1/4" x 1 1/2" (21cm x 3.8cm)
Wrap around completed box and pinch at corners
5 1/2" x 2 3/4" (13.9cm x 6.9cm)
2 3/4" x 1 1/2" (6.9cm x 3.8cm)
Starburst Circle Punch
2" Circle Punch

Project 3: a table favour I'm using as swaps at a Craft Retreat I'm attending this weekend.
The finished box measures 3" x 1 1/4" (7.6cm x 3cm) including side handles

For this you will need
DSP 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" (13.9cm x 8.8cm)
Score long side 1/2", 1 3/4", 3", 4 1/4" (1.27cm, 4.4cm, 7.6cm, 10.7cm)
Score short side 3/8" and 1" (0.95cm and 2.5cm) at both ends.
Come back to long side and score to first score line at 1 1/8" and 3 5/8" (2.8cm, 9.2cm)

Please do take the time to go visit the other bloggers in this hop. I know you'll find lots of inspiration.
