Welcome to another Ink. Stamp. Share. blog hop. We are a group of Stampin Up! independent demonstrators from around the world who love to get together on a regular basis to share what we love ... crafting! It's always a pleasure to go visit with these fabulous folk and to get lots of inspiration from the things they've made. If you've just hopped in from Shirley I'm sure you're already brimming with ideas. I hope I can inspire you too.
This month our theme is Monochrome. Looking back over the last few weeks I realised I've been making a lot of cards that fit this criteria! As time has been short for me this month, this blog post revisits some of these cards.
First up, a couple of samples I made for a craft class last month featuring Beautiful You. I'm so pleased this fantastic stamp set is carrying over to the new catalogue. This was the set that made me join Stampin Up!
This first one was a Simple Stamping sample, just stamping Night of Navy onto white card. At the end of the class, I offered the ladies one of my samples each, this one disappeared first!
I love adding embellishments to cards. That's what I love about Stampin Up!, all their supplies match! This card used Basic Grey and Grey Granite Textured Weave ribbon.
Next, I was asked to make a card featuring a cake. Easy! This stamp set is retiring sadly, but will stay in my stash for future projects
I used Crumb Cake ink on white, adding my favourite Polkadot Tulle ribbon and some twine - both of which are carrying over ... yay!
Finally, it was my anniversary earlier this month. I do love clean simple cards
Although the card base is not SU, I've added this card to show how beautiful white and silver are (it wasnt our silver a anniversary I might add!). This card featured Falling Flowers and Meant to Be stamp sets. I'm sad to say goodbye to the flowers but glad the hearts are staying.
I hope I've given you some ideas for cards using just one colourway to create the monochrome look. Please do carry one round the hop. If you click on the Next button below, you'll hop over to Sandra's blog for more great ideas.
