Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop - Masculine theme

Hi Crafters,

Its blog hop time again 😊 I love to get together with my fellow Stampin Up! demonstrators to share ideas for Scrapbook layouts. If you've just arrived from Jacqui, welcome! If you're starting with me, then thank you for dropping by.

As you can see by the header picture, it's all about the menfolk this month. My layout was going to show my husband ... but then I came across these two photos and I knew it had to be! My grandson was around 14 months old here and was so worn out after we took my daughter's dog for a walk that he fell asleep before we could get him out of his trike!

I used some of my favourite stamps to decorate the 12x12 page ..
Falling Flowers

Incredible Like You

Labeler Alphabet
and of course my Large Letter dies.

Thank you for visiting me today. Please do now click on the Next button below to move on to Sue

Table Gifts for team members meal

Hi Crafters

By the time you are reading this, I will be at Onstage. This is Stampin' Up!'s twice a year convention held for us demonstrators to get together and enjoy each others company while getting a sneak peek at all the lovely new goodies coming soon. The April event is particularly exciting as its when we get our hands on the new Annual catalogue for 2019-2020. We also get to see what new In Colours are coming out, these last two years. Sadly it also means we say goodbye to the In Colours for 2017-2019, I'll be sad to see them go (but I am stocked up with card and ink refills of my favourites 😉)

Anyway, after the event a large group of us (23 this year!) from the team known as Julies Jems get together for a meal before heading our various ways. These are the gifts I've made for each of my fellow Jems.

These little boxes are a doddle to make, but there is a lot of scoring involved! I chose to use Real Red and Rich Razzleberry card to match the foil on the little heart shaped chocolates. I also used Gold Foil and Very Vanilla, plus a scrap Granny Apple Green.

For the box body you need
Card: 6 7/8" x 6 7/8" scored at 1/2"; 1"; 1 1/2"; 2" on all four sides. Theres more scoring but check out the video, easier to explain than type out here 😉

For the box cover you need:
Card: 6 7/8" x 3 15/16" scored on the short side at 1/2" on both edges. Then on long side score at 1/2" and 2 15/16", turn and score at 3 7/16" and at 2 15/16" JUST BETWEEN THE TWO SCORE LINES.

These measurements are pretty awkward to explain, but as I said, if you watch the YouTube video below, it'll all make sense

In metric, as follows
Box body: 17.5cm x 17.5cm, scored at 1.3; 2.5; 3.8; 5cm
Box cover: 17.5cm x 10cm, scored on short side at 1.3 on both edges. Then on long side score at 1.3 and 7.4. Turn then score at 8.7 and 7.4 JUST BETWEEN THE SCORE LINES

For the decorative layers:
Gold foil measuring: 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" (6.9cm x 5.7cm)
Very Vanilla measuring: 2 1/2" x 2" (6.3cm x 5cm)

I used these stamp/die sets

Bee Bomb Boxes

Hi Crafters

Today's blog post is to show the team gifts I made for my good friends Anne, Julie, Angie, Donna and new friend Ange. We make up the team Our Happy Place and we're all Stampin' Up! demonstrators. At the time of typing this, I still have a few days to go until I meet up with them all at Onstage in Telford. Onstage is the convention held every April and November so us demonstrators get the chance to meet up, see all new products ts and generally have a couple of days away. It's a lot of fun.

My team gifts are Bee Bombs. These are hessian bags containing a mix of clay, soil and wildflower seeds that your can scatter in your garden. The idea is to help the declining bee population in the UK. My dad used to be a bee keeper, so this is a campaign close to our hearts.

The boxes are all reinforced, so good and sturdy. I also popped in a little jar of Tiptree honey. The Tiptree factory is a short drive from where I live, and I was able to buy these jars just outside my town at a nearby Tiptree tearoom. I liked the idea of adding a gift from Essex as I'm the only "southerner" in the group 😊

To make these boxes you will need:
Box base 12" x 12" (30.5cm x 30.5cm)
Score at 1 1/2"; 4"; 8"; 10 1/2" (3.7; 10.2; 20.3; 26.7cm)

Box lid 81/4" x 8 1/4" (21cm x 21cm)
Score at 1"; 2 1/8"; 6 1/4"; 7 3/8" (2.5; 5.7; 15.9; 19.7cm)

You'll also need
Dragonfly Dreams stamp set 142924
Detailed Dragonfly Framlits 142749
Some "wobblers" you can get them here
Bee Bomb bags. You can get them here
Black satin ribbon 1462808

Video instructions below show you how to put it all together.
